eMental Link

A Chinese-Language Online Mental Health Platform

Research indicates that only 10% of Chinese Australians with mental health conditions seek professional help, with an average delay of over seven years. To address this gap, the Black Dog Institute, has launched eMental Link, a Chinese-language online mental health platform.

Available in both Simplified and Traditional Chinese, eMental Link offers:

  • Standardized mental health assessments tailored for Chinese users
  • Personalized recommendations for free or low-cost online resources and local services
  • An anonymous, culturally sensitive digital environment to reduce stigma and encourage help-seeking
  • Data-driven insights to inform future research and policy development
